Gandiva Davao holds 2nd Archery Battle
Following the success of the Anniversary Archery Battle held last January 20-21, Gandiva Davao once again organized another Archery Battle for the month of February.
The Archery Battle was a month-long battle of Gandiva’s best players. Each player was required to purchase a 20-arrow package to qualify for the battle. Each player’s first ten arrows were used for practice and the last ten were for scored instinctive shooting at a 10-meter distance.
Every Monday to Thursday of the month, players would compete to make it to the top three. These top three scorers automatically qualified for the final round held last March 2.

For the final round, players were given only ten arrows to shoot – all for scoring.
Before the final round started, players were divided to three batches. Through drawing of lots, players were assigned to their designated lanes.
A DTI Representative was present to tabulate and validate each finalist’s scores after shooting.
With three finalists finishing with the highest score of 82 points, a shoot off was done to break this triple-tie of Roldan, Erespe, and Galeon. These three finalists were given only one arrow to shoot.
Erespe and Galeon scored 6 and 7, respectively. With a final score of 9 points, the champion of the Archery Battle is Julius Rhys Roldan. He received P3,000 cash and a Gandiva statement shirt.
